How to define someone who work w.o using their brain? Easy, when they :

1. working w.o passion.

2. working in a monotone manner.

3. the only they care is knocking off from their shift.

Like a traffic guard i encountered this evening that cause me my front bumper. Well, it’s a small knock but good enough for me to go back to my bumper workshop again.

How did I get a knock? Usual, from the-usual-daredevil motorist roaming around the roads of Jakarta.

How did the motorist hit me? Usual, a traffic guard who don’t seem to be looking at the incoming traffic. Well, so much being said, I guess its better if I can illustrate via a simple diagram.

My Car is on the right lane. I need to turn left. Why am I turning LEFT from the right lane? Simple, because in Jakarta, drivers love to occupy the other lane even when they do not have the intention to turn to the other side. So Car A was actually blocking everyone behind.

But why did Car A stop for me? because Car A, out of the blue, decided to turn right.

Then there is a traffic guard (S). His duty is to regulate the traffic around. He needs look out and warn the drivers of incoming traffic.

So he kept signaling me to turn left, and I followed his direction. Guess what? Apparently, this guard did not see motor B coming straight up ahead. That stupid motorist was driving straight ahead in a lane where you are supposed to turn left.

A motor that is 40 cm wide, with head lamp on. And that stupid guard can missed it?

So the motorist knocked onto my bumper and fell. I had my bumper extra hardened, if you know what that mean. I knocked against holes and curves, not a single tear, but that motorist took a chuck out of my  bumper. Again, not very big piece, but good enough to go back to my car workshop.

Seriously, when I talked to the motorist,he acted as if he can never ride again. He kept pointing to the various parts of his motor and insisted that his motor is spoilt. I looked at it sincerely and I find it amusing. The areas he pointed were “nothing”.

Like a little girl who cried and throw her temper around because her barbie doll had dropped a piece of hair. I didn’t even roll my eyeballs when the bumper could cost me potentially RP 200,000.

I asked my friend to communicate further. He (Motorist) asked for RP 150,000??? WTH? Normally, I will just pay because people with such an attitude have no shame nor pride. But because he behaved like a little girl and try to extort from such situation, I will not give in. We bring down the “payment” to RP80,000. And after getting the money, he wore his helmet and took off. Obviously, both he and his bike obviously have no problem.

Seriously, start having some dignity in yourself. RP 150,000? From what you based your numbers on? You had an accident and the 1st thing I believed you should check your physical health. Did you lost a leg or an arm? Did your head break or bleed? If not so, then thanks God you are fine. Not trying to use the situation to earn a few extra bucks.

I pity you. Same goes to the traffic guard who direct traffic without looking at incoming traffic coming his way.
