Chaotic Streets of Jakarta
The usual traffic jams, the crazy MTF bus drivers who turn and stop as they like, the same reckless daredevil motorist whose don’t treasure their lives or others.. And, the drivers who believe they own the roads.
Now, we even have “Paid” protesting roaming around the streets.. Below are some pictures I took while I drove past them..
Simple pleasure like walking along the streets is made impossible by the congested-traffic, non-regulation on exhaust smoke and the crazy horning (crazy drivers horning each other). The transportation ministry is also not interested in building pavement for their citizen.
And the remaining walk ways, had been converted to motor-park. If you are riding, you can park you motor along here for a very small fee. Don’t worry, there will be caretaker… And if you want to walk, get out! Walk along the road!
The above picture shows a Bus driver who refused to join the line and took another lane to cut in. By doing so, it created another jam for the rest of us. To make things worst, the police was standing right at the other side watching and doing nothing.
Why? Simple, there is no “profit” in stopping a bus and it is a waste of time to give him the ticket..
They decided that the Government first 100 days did not achieve any results. They want the President to step down, and so, they formed into groups and roamed the streets. And they always wonder why the unemployment rate is always so high.
